The City Comes To Life!

The cars arrived on schedule. With the addition of a nice backdrop, this beast of a city set has finally come to life. Of course, this is all just backdrop. Once all of the sets are built, the real production can begin. Consider the next bunch of posts the foundation for a new format.

It would be a shame if there was a massive collection of scale mecha waiting to descend upon this tranquil setting.

Enjoy the gallery. Extra points if you can spot the Batmobile.

The City Streets Are Empty

The City Streets are empty ... and for good reason. Unboxing my city was not just a joy, but adding to it over the long months of rebuilding. I got dozens of a new buildings and a table large enough to hold them all. Unfortunately, one of those buildings was a parking garage ... which ate up my allotment of scale cars.

So the city streets are empty until a new batch of automobiles shows up, enjoy!

Well It's Been A Year ...

Well, it's been more than a year. I started the blog because i wanted to share my collection. Problem was, there was a incident involving the collection.

Yup! I had two different floods last year that reduced my collection to boxes in storage and stacks of containers throughout the house. Now, none of this is an excuse for not updating, because even through the reconstruction process (two restorations!) the collection continued to grow.

The Bigger They Are...

The more they change I suppose. who in their right mind would not want to turn Metroplex into a massive Gundam? I guess we'll call this one the AGE-5 MAX. Larger than any Psycho Gundam, nothing could give this one a run for his money... other than Voltron of course!

City Walk

As you can see, it is a little difficult to shoot my city set. The lighting is terrible even in the day and it's too large and cumbersome to navigate. I know, I could just use a few more lights, but every now and then I feel like taking my city for a walk. Well a walk across the house to a better spot for photos.

As you can see, dreary yellow streets...
...and more shadows than sun...

...are not problems when you find a place in the house bright enough for photos!

GOOhN on Patrol

If you've got a set, shoot it. Here we have a Stealth Catamaran making a treacherous crossing of disputed islands. But even a wind worn rock formation won't protect you from the dangers of the deep. In this case, a lone GOOhN far from his ship but ready for the catch of the day. Cue jaws music please.

1/1700 Archangel at Sea

Not much here but a fun use of existing water, sky and land molds. Add some ships and suddenly the world of Gundam gets much bigger... even with such tiny ships.
